vivien westwood wall paper

So I decided that it was high time to re-decorate my bedroom.  For me this meant that I would modernise my childhood bedroom into a 'classy sophisticated boudoir'.  I decided that I would stick to white walls  and black floor, but jazz it up with some wallpaper and new furniture.  I had been looking for the perfect wallpaper for a while when I stumbled upon the Vivienne Westwood range!  There are some amazing wall papers here and I just fell in love with them!

For me it was a toss up between the bottom right and the forth from the right, I chose the more detailed one in the end Insect (forth from the right).  Now you may think that this choice is too detailed and intricate - and I do agree with this but when you look up close at the print it is an gorgeous web of insects and plants printed onto a perl/silver paper.  The other one is equally amazing but in my eyes not a special as the one that I chose (in my opinion).

Overall I highly rate the collection and am so excited for the wall paper to be put up and will post a photo of it in the next few days!

My first glossy box has arrived!

So I had been trying to decide between getting a Glossy Box or a Carmine for a few weeks now and finally I decided to go for Glossy Box!!  The reason I went for Glossy is the fact that it did a christmas box where as Carmine did not...and I was not disappointed! ! !

When the box finally arrived I was so excited!  It was like pass the parcel I turned into a child again while opening the box! The content of the box did not dispassionate me and I will do a review on what I thought was amazing in a few days!

There was only one problem that I had with the service which was that it took a long time to arrive!  It does say on the website that the first delivery with the company arrives within one to two day but mine took five days! The only reason this bothered me was because I was so so excited to get my box! So all in all I am extremely happy with the box and most of the products in the box were amazing, I also love the concept of trying new products for such a bargin price! So all in all I would highly recommend the service.

Perfect winter lip remedy

For the past few days London has become extremely crisp and freeeezing!  When walking and cycling around town I keep getting extremely chapped lips and Vaseline has just not been doing it for me! So when passing Neal's yard I decided to wonder in... and I found the perfect remedy for chapped lips:

This Neal's Yard lip balm Organic Shea Nut and Rosehip Lip formular is so smooth and keeps your lips moisturised and protected and its organic which is a plus and it smells AMAZING.  It is a bit expensive (£6.65) for a lip balm but I think it is fully wonderful!

The perfect exam watch

So I needed a watch for my exams that have just passed and as both of my vintage watches have flat batteries.  I find that it is a must to have your own watch, as sometimes you are unable to see the clock at the front of the hall! So I decided to go for the Casio AQ-230GA-9DMQYES.  The watch face has both analogue and digital so it is very useful!  It also has a stop watch and shows you the date and time.  It is a steal at £42 and is a perfect watch to add to my collection.  They also sell it in silver but I went for gold!

What was in my stocking!

So I thought as Christmas has just passed I should do a what I got for christmas post as it may give people some ideas for future presents and it will remind me of Christmas!

The first thing that I got was the Jo Malone english pear and freesia cologne with the matching candle.  I like to stick to one smell, so that it becomes a 'signature scent'.  I had been looking for a new perfume after using Chloe for ever.  After giving up on the Selfridges perfume department I then stumbled upon this perfume in the Jo Malone concession.   I love this sent it is so fresh but sweet with a subtle tone of pear and rose (even though it is supposed to be freesia).  It is a very young scent with warm clean tones throughout!  All in all the perfect perfume for me!  Although it is not cheap it is the perfect luxury perfume!  As for the candle for me it is the definition of luxury and it was a lovely addition in my stocking!

The second item in my stocking was a pair of gorgeous Vivienne Westwood earrings.  The packaging gave it away instantly but I was still so excited to unwrap the ribbon and open the box.  I was glad with the pair that my mother had chosen as they were not the standard logo earrings! They are the perfect present to give to a loved one and on sail at the moment so grab them while you can!

The next item was one of my favourites!!  These Just sheepskin slippers are the perfect investment (although I did not get the myself I always call my purchases investments to make myself not feel guilty for spending lots of money) But seriously they keep your feet so warm! I would recommend these to anyone who gets cold feet in the winter...and they claim that the keep your feet cool in the summer!  Not so sure about this but I will have to get back to you!

Hope that this helps!  A quick mention of a few amazing stocking filler: mould wine teabags, socks (Paul Smith) Amy Winehouse CD lots of cooking equipment and a new scarf!

The Liberties Barbour collection review (the perfect investment)

I had my heart first set on a red wax Barbour jacket and was just going to the shop to purchase it BUT when I was in the store I saw this amazing Liberties jacket and absolutely had to have it!  The collection has some amazing pieces with beautiful linings!  I think that a Barbour jacket is the ultimate investment as it will always be used even if not as a fashion item.  When I was recently in France we went on a 2 hour walk in the pouring rain and it really tested the jacket.  It withheld the test of the rain, wind and dried very quickly so all in all I am very impressed with the quality of the jacket!!

This is the jacket that I went for in the end!  I love the red roses and the dark olive (very dark in comparison to the standard Barbour olive) along with the red Barbour stitching on the pocket!  The only negative about the jacket that I have is that, although I love the fact that you can fold the cuffs to reveal the pattern...they get so dirty and are so difficult to clean.  But all in all the perfect coat for me!!
